Plain English Version of the SK8 License
Our license agreement contains conditions intended to keep SK8 open and available to the user community, while allowing users to do useful things with SK8. You will see the license once you begin installing SK8. These following examples are provided as illustrations and are not legally binding. See the license for the real terms. To the extent that the examples and the license conflict, the license will govern.

You are allowed to change SK8, write extensions to SK8, build an application in SK8, and include some or all of SK8 with your products. You may distribute all of these things along with SK8, or portions of SK8, for free or for money. However, you must distribute these things under a license that protects Apple in the way described in our license to you.

If you modify any of the functions or the methods of objects (or their relationships) that come with SK8 (as opposed to building on top of what we provide), you must post the modifications on the SK8 mailing list for free, just as we have done. Our license to you explains how you must do this.

The same is true if you port SK8 or any portion of SK8 to another machine or operating system - you must post your port on the SK8 web site for free under the terms described in our license to you.

IF, FOR ANY REASON, YOU DO NOT WISH TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE, PLEASE ASK US ABOUT ALTERNATIVE LICENSING ARRANGEMENTS, WHICH WOULD REQUIRE A DIFFERENT LICENSE.
